Default D/Mo Trully invincible Dervish

Profession: [Dervish/Monk]
Name: [DNK invincible Dervish]
Type: [PvE - so far]
Category: [Tank-invincible]
Attributes" [Misticysm 12+3, Healing Prayers 9, Protection prayers 9; anything else would be a total + (should have all 5 runes of mayor something.).]
Skills Set: -20 sec variant [Vow of Silence{Elite}, Puious Assault, Bane Signet, Live Vicarously, Protective spirit, Mending, Balthazar's spirit, Whirling charge.]
-infinity variant [Vow of Silence{Elite}, Puious Signet, Bane Signet, Live Vicarously, Protective Bond, Zelaous renewal, mending, Whirling charge]
Summary: The point of this build is: this it the 1. invinci build, that stands a chance against enchantment removal. the only ferable thing is an Avatar of Grenth. The point is to use the 20sec variant to solo a lot of creeps (wariors but not more than 4) and the inf. variant just keeps you safe from a few frenzyless warriors and any number of mesmers. You should always watchout for mana. Engage only mobs with max 1 mesmer and 1 necro a peice. anything more can be dangerous. This build also stands a good chance against any elementalists, since no spell will ever hit you. EVER. So, here's the plan: enchant ureself with enchants that drain mana. Then right befoer you assault, use prot. spirit an Vow of Silence. this should be kept up 2. then you need a 2 sec resess so use whirling charge to pull back. recast prot spirit and charge back in. use vow of silence right before the mesmer agro's u. (you should be able to keep this up indefinately).

enjoy.
Notes & Concerns: this build is probabily highly buged and it should be aplyed finishing touches, i leave it to you, just post any variants.
Credit: My guild and I worked long and hard to design even the mere idea for this so Hail Mister Muscolo And the DNK!!!

equip: need something that will lowwer ure HP drasticly like -50 cesta.
good to have life steal mod (or zelous) on the scythe (max Z -1)

plz enjoy....

Edit:
for a really nice killer, you can use Mystic twister instead of Bane Signet. you should in this matter put a +1 helm, a +3 rune and at least 2 attributes. that will make 252 dmg in total.... to each nearby foe

So, You worked long and hard to make a build that doesnt work? Vow of Silence makes it so you can't be the target of spells, and you cant cast spells, there fore, you cant use skills like Live Vicariously, Protective Bond, Mending, Balthazars Spirit, or Mystic Twister. Is it really that hard for an entire GUILD to come up with the IDEA of a build?
Sorry bud. Wont work.

Well it could if you layer the other enchants under VoS. It's a good concept in theory. I'll give it a shot see if I can help you tweak it.

i assume his idea is to put up the maintained enchants up first, then use VoS. the enchants dont drop when you put up VoS. so in that sense, the build does "work".

but this just doesnt look good at all. with multiple maintained enchants, you are gonna run out of energy rather fast, unless you are being pounded on by melee. and in that case, you probably want to run both balthz spirit and essence bond, or energy is gonna get tight. and protective bond is going to be a no-no: you are losing a net amount of energy everytime you take dmg. with all the maintained enchants, your energy reserve will be wiped in just a few seconds. and i dont know why you are going with 5 major runes. why not 5 sups? if this is an invinci build, you want to lower your health as low as possible.

as for general skill selection, i think you are taking skills that are sub par on a derv (inability to use monk runes) when you could get the same thing from the derv lines. LV is pointless in an invinci build, your regen should handle the dmg. plus you have no points in scythe, making your attacks worthless anyway. if you have to have something like that, why not bring mystic vigor. just as good, if not better, than LV plus its alrdy in a line you are using.

then there is mending. +3 regen on a invinci build is worthless. you are going to want 9+ in regen. so why not invest in earth and bring mystic regen. all the regen you could ever need. both vigor and regen are 1/4 second casts, so you can keep them up in between your VoS casts. any why bane signet? you have nothing in smiting, making this a dead skill.

i think this is what you were going for:
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Build/Mo_130hp_Dervish

the same basic premise as what you are talking about (sub out RS for VoS), with the capabilities to deal dmg as well. you can alter it if you just want a tank, dropping scythe completely and adding whatever you like.

just seems like a waste. too much health, too little health regen, very poor energy management (especially with PB), poor skill selection. just so much against it.

I can think of a dozen counters right off the top of my head, this is obviously not "invincible".

I tried to make a build the might logistically work with this concept except the problem is even if you run both balth and essence unless you plan on fighting less than two monsters you will run out of energy. Everything else worked though. :\ lol

I would rather suggest somesort of Ele armor of earth build. Maybe try investing in Armor of Earth and Stonflesh Aura. I would then Suggest getting a Scythe with +20% echants. Since you will be immune to spells With vow of silence on having Stoneflesh and Armor of earth maybe even just armor of earth you would be relativley close to negating all melee damage. Stoneflesh would cause problems with spamming that and vow though. I guess if you could run Vow and Armor of earth and Bring enough healing scythe attacks to heal through melee damage you could withstand anything. That seems to me to be the Best bet. In conclusion, it might work but honestly unless you are doing this for bragging rights I can't see any builds making any form of invincidervish being any better than other invincibuilds.

Here is a suggestion:

D/Ele

10 Earth Magic
Mysticism 10 or 11+1+3 Look into it
Earth Prayers 5
Scythe Mastery +3

A 20% Enchant Mod

Vital Boon, Vow of Silence, Armor of Earth, Victorious Sweep, Mystic Sweep, Ernemites Attack, Zealous Renewal

Something like that. I would suggest trying to get vow of Silence to last 10 Seconds. I am not sure if that can be done but if 14 mysticism will do it that would be wonderful. The idea I guess would be to put on vital boon to make up for having two superior runes. You then put on armor of earth, boon, zealous renewal, and vow of silence. You then attack target till you have more health and then spam victrious sweep to heal yourself while also keeping up vow of silence. This would only work If the melee monsters where not using any real powerful attack skills or interupts.

I hope.. this "infinity variant" is some kinda crude joke
@ Bold skills/OP: I died a little inside when I read those

Last thing this game needs are Mending Derrmos

Joke topic? From the creator's name, certainly looks like one O_o

Anyway, early experience of Dervishes for me shows they can tank nearly anything early-game (Istan) just using Mystic Regeneration, Vital Boon, Mystic Vigour and the energy-recovering Zealous Renewal provided of course you manage the number of enemies so that the regen effectively out-recovers the damage you're gaining (Which, Mystic Regeneration is so sick at doing I dread to see it hit with the nerf bat).

Even early game Necromancers/Monks and mesmers struggle to actually do much regardless of their enchantment stripping capabilities. (Note: I expect later on it will get more and more difficult obviously, but I think the early game areas are perfect for showing the core skills of a Dervish anyway.)

My 2 cents >_>

Above i bolded ur mistakes and put a part that doesnt make sense to me in italics.

K so here is the bug, it sucks! Here is a varient, stick a fork in your own eye, please. Heres a finishing touch:
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Build/Mo_130hp_Dervish

OK where to start!

Bane Signet is an amazing skill, in pre-searing. (even then its not sumthing to put ur life on the line for)

This has been stated but, 256 damage from mystic twister? Dude read the skill again, but since ur name implies that you are missing a brain, ill give you the link:

http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Mystic_Twister

oh, and mystic twister does not penetrate armor.

...mending, sorry to say does not make u a god. I love warriors who rush in to battle, but then halfway there stopping to put on mending. It amuses me.
We dont need the same from a derv.

Long and hard to design the idea? I think sum1 alrdy made that idea, the 130hp invinci-derv. What design? Have u even played the game or did you just piece together skills that you think would work.

NOTE TO SELF: NEVER JOIN THIS GUYS GUILD.
